Meet Swasthik
Swasthik Acharya is a devoted yoga educator and the visionary founder of Shakti Yoga Kendra, established in 2024.
His journey with yoga began at the tender age of twelve, not as a practice but as a way of life woven into his very being like the sacred threads of tradition. Raised in a family where devotion and discipline walked hand in hand, Swasthik grew up immersed in the profound wisdom of yoga, guided by the eternal teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. His passion led him to pursue a master’s degree in Yogic Science, which he completed in 2023, further solidifying his path as a teacher and seeker.
Beyond his dedication to yoga, Swasthik plays an integral role in the spiritual and cultural life of The Durga Adishakthi Temple in Udupi, which has been lovingly nurtured by his family for generations. This sacred space is not just a temple it is a beacon of devotion, inclusivity, and service, where seekers from all backgrounds are welcomed with open hearts. With Durga Devi as the presiding deity, the temple resonates with the energy of the Divine Mother, embodying her grace and strength. Swasthik actively participates in the temple’s daily rituals and duties, carrying forward a lineage of devotion while ensuring that the temple remains a sanctuary for all, free from discrimination of religion or caste.
A passionate researcher and lifelong student, Swasthik has presented insightful papers on yogic philosophy at national and international seminars, delving into the depths of ancient wisdom to make it relevant for modern seekers. For him, yoga is not merely about postures or breathwork—it is a journey inward, a dialogue between the self and the infinite, where tradition and transformation merge.
With an unwavering commitment to making yoga accessible and meaningful, Swasthik continues to inspire students, guiding them toward a life of health, balance, and serenity—one breath, one mantra, and one mindful step at a time.
In 2025, Swasthik joined Amogha Ayurveda as a faculty member for the Yoga Training Program, where he will be teaching the principles of yoga philosophy and history, as well as Hatha yoga. His teachings will encompass various aspects and practices of Hatha yoga, including pranayama (breath control), shatkarmas (cleansing techniques), and more His presence will enrich the program, bringing together the wisdom of classical texts, practical applications, and the essence of devotion that he embodies so naturally.
